First up, a big thanks to the cool cats in Ballarat (in victoria, Australia) last Saturday, 3rd may, who trundled along to and displayed such depth of knowlege of comics in general, and support of the local artists plying the trade, at HEROES HQ FREE COMIC BOOK DAY. OUR on-SCENE HEAD HONCHO Matt was BLOWN AWAY by the response. "It was a fantastic day," he said yesterday via facebook. "ArtHUR [STRICKLAND] was the real star. He was the home town hero. Met Gareth Colliton for the first time — Very, very cool guy. He has all our comics. I am glad that Nev, Artie and I did this regional launch. there are HEAPS of comic kooks in Ballarat. There were a heap of cosplayers too, LIKE ONE in an awesome Green Lantern costume. it was a great day."
