MATTHEW KYME attended NMIT and RMIT, where he studied drawing women sans clothing. He then went on to Melbourne Uni to learn how to teach others to draw those same naked ladies.
On top of them, Kyme’s oil paintings and sketches were exhibited in group and solo shows, going on to be added to numerous private collections. Having gradually wound down his art practice, Kyme rekindled a old love of comic books and turned his attention to writing and sequential art. Kyme’s dual web-comics That Bulletproof Kid and The Ace snared the eye of author Andrez Bergen. Deciding to collaborate and hitting a goldmine of success with their joint title Tales to Admonish, the two were inspired to found IF? Commix and use this flexible platform to release more issues of Tales To Admonish as well as That Bulletproof Kid and an array of other titles. Kyme currently lives and works in Melbourne. |
